This episode’s guest believes that the way we live is an exact reflection of our deepest held beliefs about ourselves. This includes our relationships with food, money, and love.
Geneen Roth is the New York Times best selling author of When Food is Love, This Messy Magnificent Life, and more. She joined me in this 2010 interview to talk about the concepts in her book Women Food and God.
What Geneen means when she says that your body reflects your beliefs is that the beliefs we hold in our mind affect our feelings, which in turn affect our actions. Included in this are the beliefs that we have about the amount of joy, abundance, pain, and scarcity that we think we have in our lives.
When our beliefs cause actions that we don’t want, the antidote is to dig deep and change the beliefs themselves. When you change your beliefs it can result in positive feelings and positive actions.
Listen in to this episode and learn how to make change happen on the unseen level. You can change your perspective about your life and your relationship to yourself, and as a consequence of that, your relationship to food.
