I get it…you aren’t sure.
….What if you’re wrong?
…What if you’re mistaken?
….Maybe someone else knows better?
My friend, while it can seem lovely for others to believe in you…it’s just not sustainable.
It’s less vulnerable to have others believe in you, than for you to believe in you…and quite possibly be wrong.
Here’s the thing.
When you need others to believe in you, it requires energy from others.
These people will get tired.
They will get distracted with their own problems, issues and lives.
They don’t actually have any control over what you do or don’t do.
They also (usually) don’t have anything to benefit in the outcome you will gain.
Instead it’s your job to believe in YOU!
Yes, it’s risky.
Yes, it’s uncertain.
Yes, you will be emotionally exposed.
That my friend is called vulnerability.
It feels a lot like fear.
But you are safe and not (necessarily) in danger..
Believe in YOU.
You will make mistakes.
You will be wrong.
You will feel shame, that awful feeling we try so hard to not feel.
These mistakes, being wrong and feeling shame are NOT defining moments.
They are moments.
You will learn a lot in these moments.
And they will lead you back to the path of the result you want.
Go back and believe in YOU!
It’s your job.
It’s the most powerful way!
Believe in YOU!
smiling,
