Trying vs. Doing

This is what TRY looks like:

I’m trying to figure out the foods that fuel my body
I’m trying to lose weight
I’m trying to date
I’m trying to be compassionate with myself
I’m trying to lead my team at work.

These are some of the things I hear from my clients.  I ask, why not DO?

Do does not mean a done deal.

Do does not mean perfect.

This is what DO looks like:

I’m experimenting with foods to see what best fuels my body
I’m no longer numbing with food
I’m going on coffee dates with people I meet online
I’m treating myself with kindness (and forgiving myself when I screw it up)
I’m leading my team. It’s messy and powerful at the same time

When we say we are trying, we are hiding from ourselves.

When we say we are trying, we are not standing in our own power.

Trying is not DOING.

Go DO in your life.
