We’re living in a strange time where parents are embarrassed to talk to their children about sex, but our kids are growing up in a culture where messages about sex are abundant in media. A lot of kids are getting some of their sex education from television, YouTube, and more.
Torie Henderson is a well-known speaker, teacher, and coach who helps parents “stay sane in the land of crazy”. She uses her 20 years of experience in family life education and human development to help caring, over-worked parents live their best lives so their kids will, too. In this episode, which originally aired in 2014, Torie and I discuss how to talk to your kids about sex.
Torie is a sought after speaker who helps parents talk to kids about sex. Torie has developed Time for the Talk, an online, at home, sex education class for parents and kids to take together. Torie’s goal is to help open up the lines of communication between parents and kids.
“Your kids are getting a sex education. It just may not be the one you’d want them to have,” says Torie in this episode.
