As children, we had parents, teachers and other authoritative figures to lead the way. But as we make our move into adulthood, it can become difficult to step into leadership roles – in any aspect of our lives. In fact, this is a topic I discuss with my clients regularly. So I’d like to emphasize that leadership is about identity and way of being, rather than titles merely bestowed upon us by others.
In this episode, I discuss the importance of self-awareness in the journey to leadership. I share the story of one of my clients, who bravely shared her own story with me, and by owning it, dismantled self-imposed barriers. She’s even gone on to become not just a leader in her company, but in her industry as well.
Tune in to discover the importance of self-trust, self-compassion, and self-accountability in being the leader of your life. By embracing agency, taking ownership and leading with integrity and compassion, you can make changes in both your personal and professional endeavors.
