When you’re overwhelmed at work or at home do you feel like you can’t get your priorities straight? How do you figure out what to focus on?
At age 22, Laura Roeder quit her design job and started her own entrepreneurial journey. She built and ran a successful online training business and became known as an A lister in the social media business world.
Eventually Laura created her current business, Edgar, out of a need she had in her own business – a way to manage social media more effectively. Laura is the Founder and CEO of Edgar. She bootstrapped her business and has achieved huge success. I would definitely call her one hell of a lady boss.
In this episode, which originally aired in 2016, Laura and I talk about focus, priorities, and constraints. When responsibilities, projects, and ideas get overwhelming, sometimes the answer is to let go of perfectionism. Get your work done to an 80% level, stop working evenings and weekends, and find flow and ease in your work.
Join us in this episode to find clarity and gain inspiration for a better relationship with work and other responsibilities. “Try to make the best guess on what will make the biggest impact,” says Laura in this episode. It’s not about perfectionism or doing everything exactly right.
