When it’s far away, creating change can feel dreamy and magical. We think it will be beautiful, great, and an overall wonderful experience.
But then we make the change in our lives and discover that things aren’t quite as we expected. Change is exhausting, and there is a lot of vulnerability that comes with it.
When we make a change and things don’t go as expected, we tend to judge ourselves for our actions and beat ourselves up. We mistakenly believe it is our flaws that keep us from what we want and try to white-knuckle our way through the change. But there is a better way.
It takes courage to own our story and love ourselves, and doing so is the way to create change. I invite you to acknowledge what you do, but don’t beat yourself up. Hold yourself accountable and set boundaries, while showing yourself love and compassion.
In this episode, I’m talking about the old way of creating change and sharing a new way that is effective, sustainable and much less exhausting. Discover the importance of acknowledging your strengths as well as your weaknesses, and why your flaws help you become who you are, not keep you from creating the change you want.
