One of the myths of vulnerability is that we practice vulnerability in isolation. But that’s not true. We need to step into our lives to create what we want. And to get what we want, we have to have the courage to ask.
Sometimes when we are not able or ready to be courageous we isolate ourselves and don’t reach out when we need help or support. But if we can gain the courage to reach out to someone and ask for their help, we’re accessing our support network. Being able to do this is part of the value of our connections with our friends, family, partners, and others.
Give yourself permission. Be willing to be vulnerable and have courage to ask someone who you have been cultivating a relationship with in your life. Or go start cultivating a relationship with a new friend.
