The first time I met Simon Sinek I was staying at a casino hotel in Las Vegas and getting ready to go into what I thought was going to be a long boring meeting. I was getting my morning chai tea latte and sat down for a few minutes to relax before a long day. A few minutes later this guy walked by with my favorite color wrapped around his wrist in the shape of a watch. He sat down at the table next to me with two beautiful ladies. I’ve always been drawn to watches and time so I couldn’t help but look over and tell this stranger “Nice watch, I love the color”. As soon as I said that my Aunt walked up with her coffee and screamed out “oh my god, you’re Simon Sinek”.

I was thrilled to see her excitement and then it dawned on me that this is the guy that’s going to speak in this so-called boring meeting that I mentioned. Needless to say Simon Sinek owned the room when he walked into that meeting just 20 minutes later. Just like he owned the coffee shop when he walked in with his watch and smile. Who wouldn’t want to be a part of that. I’m not saying that he looked rich or actually owned the coffee shop, but he has such a vibrant presence that it’s hard not to be inspired by him. He is everything that he promotes his why to be. He inspires.

Thank you for the Podcast I think it’s a great reminder to find your why and promote it everyday.
