The Blog

This blog is a natural extension of my thoughts after I've had time to digest all the rich food-for-thought that my guests always serve up. I do my best to blog weekly, but sometimes I don't even know how I do it — so this forgive me if I skip a week here and there. Enjoy!

Happy

Happy was the destination of my life.

If I do this, I will be happy.

Once I achieve that, I will be happy.

Once I arrived at Happy, it felt great for a moment.

Then I worried.

Can I stay happy?

How long until Happy goes away?

Will I lose Happy to someone else, someone better than me?

Today Happy is no longer a destination.

Today Happy does not have a limited supply.

Today Happy is something I feel when I choose to see my life NOW.

Today I practice being friends with Happy.

Today I am worthy of Happy.

Sometimes I choose to go elsewhere…     then I notice that Happy feels better.

Today I choose to feel Happy, without need of achievement.

Today I choose to feel Happy, without need of approval.

Today I choose to feel Happy because it feels so damn good!

Great post that is specially suited for the New Year. Where is happiness found if not right here, right now?

Better to find happiness now than in the rear view mirror…

@Jean Paul – Yes happiness is found right here, right now by our own self. We determine our happiness. @Cyd love that. No rear view mirror for me anymore! Can I quote you for my newsletter?

I completely agree “Today I choose to feel Happy because it feels so damn good!” Thank you for the interesting take on the ups and downs of trying to become and stay happy!

Walter I don’t think one can stay happy all the time. There are times of sadness, anger, peace, etc. I finally learned though that most of the time I can choose what I feel.
